Soil—Plant Relationships in Soybean Cultivated under Conventional Tillage and Long-Term No-Tillage

چکیده

Soybeans [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] have great economic prominence in the world, and soil management systems can directly interfere with their yield through changes physical-hydric properties. Thus, aim of this research was to verify relationship between components, physiological traits, root development, properties soybean yields grown under conventional tillage no-tillage systems. The experiment carried out Botucatu, SP, Brazil, two treatments: soybeans no tillage. It is a long-term experiment, conducted since 1986. main variables that influenced were plant height, relative leaf water content, dry matter, penetration resistance, accumulated infiltration. Physiological components showed significant negative correlation yield. On other hand, development physical positively correlated However, not significant. system resulted 7.8% more productivity compared Soybean depends on storage capacity soil, as well traits plant.

Weed Control Using Conventional Tillage, Reduced Tillage, No-Tillage, and Cover Crops in Organic Soybean

Soybean field experiments were performed to investigate the weed-suppressing effects of different tillage systems and cover crop mulches at two locations in southwest Germany during 2014 and 2015. The influence of three different tillage systems on weed control efficacy, soybean plant density, and crop yield was determined. In the no-till system (NT), two different cover crops, (rye and barley)...

Population Dynamics of Heterodera glycines in Conventional Tillage and No-Tillage Soybean/Corn Cropping Systems.

The effects of no-tillage (NT), conventional tillage (CT), and crop rotation on soybean yield and population dynamics of Heterodera glycines were compared during a 7-year study in a silty clay loam soil with 6% organic matter. Either H. glycines-resistant 'Linford' soybean or susceptible 'Williams 82' soybean was rotated with corn and grown on 76-cm-wide rows in both tillage systems. Soybean wa...

Effects of field experimental warming on wheat root distribution under conventional tillage and no‐tillage systems

Despite the obvious importance of roots to agro-ecosystem functioning, few studies have attempted to examine the effects of warming on root biomass and distribution, especially under different tillage systems. In this study, we performed a field warming experiment using infrared heaters on winter wheat, in long-term conventional tillage and no-tillage plots, to determine the responses of root b...

Periodic Response of Soybean Yields and Economic Returns to Long-Term No-Tillage

NT will reduce soybean grain yields and economic returns, particularly during the first few years of adoption. Farmers have been encouraged to adopt no-tillage (NT) because Soybean grain yield response to NT systems depends of its positive environmental effects compared with other conservation tillage systems. Nevertheless, poor crop performance under NT manmainly upon soil drainage and previou...

Effect of long term no-till and conventional tillage practices on soil quality

Management systems influence soil quality over time. A randomized block design in 2 (tillage system) 3 (crop rotation) factorial arrangement was laid-out to evaluate the impact of tillage and crop rotation (2002–2007) on soil quality. Conventional tillage and No-till were factored into continuous corn, corn–soybean, and corn–soybean–wheat–Cowpea systems. Ten soil cores were collected at 0–7.5, ...
